Still halfway through construction in London, England is the walkie talkie tower, which has now been renamed by the media "The Walkie Sorchie" or "The Fryscraper". This has raised a crowd in the Canary Wharf area because of the buildings shape sunlight was directed down onto the street and has been causing a fury on the hottest day in September. The light that has concentrated downwards has melted cars and has cooked eggs. This could be a problem when the heat rises like this in the future. But this phenomenon will be gone in the fall because of the Suns apparent movement. The "fryscraper" has drawn a lot of attention to the crowd and was almost a kind of tourist attraction. Some articles and newspapers say "THE FRYSCRAPER ATTACKS".

My thoughts on this are that this could be a long lasting problem of watching out for that hot spot because the building is probably going to be there forever, but then again it makes a good tourist attraction and helps businesses around the area. I also think that people could be complaining about this buildings bright view but then again it will only shine in the summer months. I find the design of the building really odd looking and idiotic, how come they cannot make normal looking buildings anymore, that's my point of view.

A British property developer said Tuesday it was investigating after sun rays reflected from its half-finished London skyscraper melted parts of several cars, including a luxury Jaguar.

Londoners have been shielding their eyes from the blinding glare bouncing off 20 Fenchurch Street -- nicknamed the "Walkie Talkie" because of its flared shape -- while several drivers have complained that the beams have melted parts of their vehicles.
