@fryebyeâ
Every time he thought about the useless gun currently strapped to his back, a wave of anger rushed over him.  The audacity of the people who stole him away! There were very few things he truly cared about in this world, and his shotguns were one of the chosen. Regardless, he couldnât let himself become complacent; heâd have to make do with the insult to firearms heâd been bequeathed.
The âpelletsâ that replaced his bullets were, frankly, useless. They needed to be replaced with something more substantial -- he hoped, at least. Van Helsing had heard through the grapevine that he might find something more interesting in the Cotes Ward if he looked around. Indeed, he eventually sniffed out âthe Undersideâ as it was referred; hopefully someone would be able to replace these pellets with something that packed a little more punch.
Unfortunately -- as was the nature of visiting the seedy area of town -- he found that most of the people in this area were a bit too rough for him to approach. Van Helsing certainly wasnât afraid, but he was at a severe disadvantage without his normal fire power; also, he had noticed his energy levels werenât exactly the same as back home. It was better to play it safe.
After scanning the crowds, he eventually laid eyes on someone who was wearing clothing a bit more familiar to him. This seemed like his best bet -- for the moment at least. He weaved through the crowd to approach the man who seemed to be observing the people overrunning the street. Van Helsing stopped in front of him, not bothering to address the other. He assumed he had already seen him coming.
âDo you know of a place that would sell something more useful than the Bee-Bee pellets for this pathetic weapon?â He gestured towards the BB gun holstered to his back.
