For the seven years of special interest that I have for Antasma, my interpretation for him changed dramatically, at first I view him as a tragic-ish villain that has a sad backstory.

This interpretation was largely influenced by SpadeArt’s Antasma blog back when it was still up. Even the way how I used to draw him reflects that, with a human-ish proportions and a default boring expression.

But as the years passed…

And I realized that…

Antasma is a evil piece of shit

Regardless of how he came to be, he will always be a evil, devious, greedy, self-ish, manipulative, gluttonous piece of shit.

And he is so based for being that.

He will never apologize for his actions, he will petrify Pi'illo Island again, again, again, and again in every possible timeline, if he was given the chance.

He will never change, he will never turn good.

His not the Boogeyman, his the Boogeyman’s worst nightmare.

Personally, I think thats the best possible interpretation for him as a character, all roads lead to Rome.

And while yes it is already fairly obvious that he is fucking evil and shit from day one, this post is more or less a cumulative statement of my thoughts about him over the years.

But there is still one interpretation that I cannot shake, even though it is extremely unlikely that he has this trait, I can’t stop imposing this idea onto him.

And that is he values Loyalty.

It doesn’t have to be the traditional type of loyalty we typically think of, just loyalty in general.

Break that and you will suffer for an eternity.

That’s the only trait that I would give to him as a character. It is most likely not true and could be a disservice to him as a pure evil villain. But holy hell I cannot stop imposing this trait onto him.
