Loki has a horrible tendency of living in the past. Heās been through a number of traumatic experiences. Sometimes he had a difficult time deciphering what, exactly, is a lie, and what was actual fact throughout his lifeāironic considering he is often known as the God of Lies. This, however, stems from the discovery of what he truly was, realizing there were reasons that Thor was always favored to him, discovering that his āfatherā, Odin, never truly loved him, and that his parents taught him to hate the very thing that he was.
Not only that, but he lives with the constant knowledge that his children were ripped away from him, banished, and left outside of his care. Although he tries, there is often nothing he can do to help them. This, not many realize, is where his hatred for Odin truly beganānot the lies of Lokiās heritage, but taking his children from him.
Then, of course, there were the times in between Lokiās fall from Asgard and his reappearance on Midgardātime with Thanos, predominately. This was a difficult time for him. He underwent many hardships, physical torture, mental abuse, and other aspects that make it hard for Loki to always sympathize with others. The list, of course, goes on, but these points are crucial to him and he often finds himself getting stuck on that past. He lives in a world where he is trying to move past his own anguish and continue on with his life, but he often gets so caught up on things he cannot change, it often pulls him back and, as everyone knows, history tends to repeat itself.
He struggles with this to the point of extreme fault at times.
ā¬:Ā Something minor they enjoy
Loki enjoyed instrumental music quite a bit. While he is still quite picky about it, he will often listen to purely instrumental music while reading, studying, and working. As a matter of fact, Loki knows how to play both the violināsomething heās known for quite a long timeāand the pianoāa more recent hobby that heās picked up.
āŖ:Critique they have about othersĀ
Loki cannot stand those who mistreat children. Under normal circumstances, Loki is selective over the types of disputes that he will actually engage himself in. There is just too much that would harm him or things that he cares about to involve himself in, however he will always defend the honor of a child. Loki loves children and feels that their innocence needs to be protected.
Those who willingly neglect, harm, or outright dislike children are people Loki literally cannotĀ affiliateĀ himself with. He cannot stand them and if he actively sees someone in the acts of wrong doing against a child, he will step in. What he may do to said person is still a bit, uhm⦠well, itās foggy.
If he were to give anyone advice, he would advise them to look at the lives of children from a new perspective. Children are products of theirĀ environmentĀ and if not catered to in the most loving of ways, that child will grow up not understanding love, not understand purity, or goodness. Any wrong doing to a child is the ground for creating corruptive-ness inside of an innocent soul, and everyone should actually stop to look at their actions towards children in such a way.
āÆ:Ā Way they could see themselves dying
Kind of piggy-backing on the answer of the last prompt, Loki has always pictured his death in one specific way. Many might assume that itās Ragnarok, but that actually doesnāt enter Lokiās mind very often. He does not believe in the concept of fate.
However, he does see himself in the same position every time he thinks about the possibility of his death, and that scenario is dying in order to protect one of his children, if not all of them. Loki would, without a momentās hesitation, lay his life down for the lives of his offspring, and there is no force in the Nine that would take that away from him.Ā
If he were to go, and he had a say in how he wanted to go, this is what he would choose. This is what he envisions for himself.
