As someone who was around and hyperfixating when 'Frozen' took off in 2013/14, I have been having the best time watching how KPDH's success has paralleled 'Frozen's (seriously, it's uncanny on every level). The craziest part, though, is how both times, both fandoms:
wound up with a fair amount of discourse surrounding parental figures who had good intentions but wound up really damaging their kid's mental health
translated headstones to figure out the dead parents' names for the benefit of fic writers everywhere
