"All Might-Sensei, I saw this and thought you might need it -- Kero." The student holds up a warm-looking sweater. It's dark colored but there's a little frog outline in white thread on the upper right chest. In his smaller form he was much skinnier, and Tsu knew what it was like to feel cold all the time.
â m - my girl ! you didnât have to ! â  but despite his half-hearted protest, he takes the jacket in reverent hands anyway, grinning widely at the little embroidered frog. how adorable; now heâd surely never forget who it was from ! need it he most certainly did, because it was true: this form didnât offer much in the way of warmth, too atrophied & underweight & on top of that, riddled with anemia.
but when he shrugs it on, any semblance of cold is chased away.
the realization nearly turns his eyes into a watery blur because here he is, at the lowest point of his life, & such a small kindness is enough to make him feel the way he did when was he in his prime & his beloved civilians would extend gifts to him. he always took them, because it made them feel a little heroic in their own right. receiving this jacket now â it makes him feel like he was worth something. like he mattered. these kids truly have no idea how much they help him from succumbing to the cold in his bones & the cold in his head.Â
he extends a hand to tousle her hair, fond & smiling, â but thank you. you mustâve noticed my discomfort in the winter, & thatâs incredibly heroic of you. iâll wear it well. â
