We kicked off the week with an innovation-focused conversation with Scott that outlined the company goals moving forward, energizing us all as we head into a new year. Kelly and Makay are executing a tour of Scott’s Addition with the IS team of a Fortune 200 client, exposing them to various businesses in the neighborhood for conversations with the owners (want to join us on a similar tour? We’re happy to oblige.). Alex, Becky, and Eugenie are meeting for a project kickoff with our newest client, the largest member-based (by number of members) NGO in the country. Grant and Stevie will be facilitating our open enrollment two-day Influencing Stakeholders workshop, while Jason and Katie are in Charlotte to facilitate a client workshop. Scott and Natalie will be in Dallas for client meetings, further expanding our roots in the great state of Texas. The highlight of the week, though, is that it is our designer Chris’s last week of working this year, ahead of his wedding this coming Saturday. Cheers!

Our first week working out of our temporary co-working space Gather and we already feel right at home. Gather’s team welcoming with open arms was nice. Welcoming us with donuts was even nicer. While some of the team is spending their time cleaning up (and out) the old studio, plenty of us are carrying on with business as usual -- which means hitting the road. AB is en route from NYC to produce a Storytelling keynote and a Sword Fighting workshop at the gorgeous VMFA -- ahead of meeting EV in Williamsburg for the the last round of workshops before summer hits. JAA starts out keynoting an ACTE event in Boston, hits Richmond briefly for the VMFA event, then Williamsburg for two more keynotes and then back to NYC with AB for client work. KL and MT are in the heartland, facilitating our ever-popular Influencing Stakeholders workshop in Chicago. SW, meanwhile, leads a meeting at Accion Albuquerque, then jumps to NYC to meet with Distinguished Programs.

Well, it’s already June, which means 2015 is flying by! Speaking of flying, we are all over with travel this week, spread out across the east coast and midwest. NG, SW, TA, and KMB head to Chicago for client board meetings, CM and BC fly up to Boston to film with clients, MT and ST started the week facilitating in Winston-Salem, and GM and KL travel to NYC to facilitate a workshop. Sadly for them, but fortunately for us, MM and JAA are back in the studio after a week of sun and relaxation in Tulum and Hawaii, respectively, while CB is honeymooning in Maine. It’s RVA for the rest of us, which basically feels like the tropics. 

While we started the week with everyone in the studio, it didn’t last long. NG and GM headed up to DC to facilitate our Project Management Workshop, with JE in tow for hospitality, while SW and TA hopped on a plane to San Diego to meet with Accion for training and workshops. Share here. Next up for SW is another Accion meeting in Albuquerque. (Have we mentioned we’re dedicated to our clients?) EV is in NYC working with KC and AB, and the rest of us are heads down product design work, organizational culture programs, keynote writing -- and prep for Frontier Academy’s trip to ATD in a couple of weeks.

While most of us are staying put this week, wallowing in our jealousy of ST and TT jet-setting off to Spain, TA and SW head south to ATL for the ACTE Global conference. FYI, ACTE stands for Association of Corporate Travel Executives and is a leader in the travel industry in regards to how corporate travel is conducted. Upon completion of the conference, both will travel up to NYC to meet with Accion and conduct various business development meetings. Speaking of NYC, JAA is en route to host his own plethora of business development meetings, discussing digital publishing and marketing for Frontier Press. And while we’re still on the topic, one more note on NYC: KC will be attending the PSFK 2015 Conference on Friday. Stay tuned for what comes out of that. - Carl
