Tile 2 of 6 - Journal Entry July 23rd - Good news or the Bad news? I always go for the bad news first... This time I'll start with the good... At the time I had just moved to Chelmsford a town that had just been given City status & on the up & up, a bit like me, a young City with a bright future yet to make its mark on the world as a city... This was where I took posession of the keys to my new place on Bond Street . The one bedroom apartment I rented as soon as I had finished my 12 week stint in rehab, back in 2010 going into 2011.. So I was clean... and very optimistic about the future... Primarily because I had a new strategy I hadn't tried before. I was going to commit to filling the void with art. I was going to practice daily for at least a year and see were that leads me. While in treatment I was given a copy of a book called "The Artists Way by Julia Cameron " which I highly recommend to anyone looking to take their creative life to the next level. So I had a plan, I had a beautiful place (unfurnished). I had a largish art collection, left over from the original figment gallery in Abuja which had now been closed for a couple of years. Needless to say everything was looking up... The bad news was yet to come... I had only just begun to get to grips with the importance of just being consistent, regardless of whether or not I knew where it was headed...
