Throwback

Yung "seminar season" namen.

Ito rin yung mga panahong hindi ko pa kilala ang makeup kaya Haggardo Versosa 24/7 si mami. Pahirapan din talaga for me ang humanap ng formal/business attire kase wala naman akong extrang pambili at ayokong dumagdag gastos pa para lang sa mga seminars na hindi naman ginaganap every month. At since wala ngang pambili ng attire si mami, wala din akong pambili ng relo kaya yang bracelet na yan, sa kapatid ko pa yan. Nasa 30php ata bili niya diyan. Hahahahaha nahiram ko pa nga. Pati yang slacks ko, nilabhan ko ng mabuti yan. Buti nalang kasya saken yung slacks ng nanay ko nung dalaga pa siya, nagamit ko pa nga.

Ang weird lang na sa mga seminars namen na ganto sa school, dito kame pwedeng magflatshoes. Pero pag regular school days, kailangan naka heels. Na para bang hindi nakakatrauma sa pang iipit yung elevator, at madaling umakyat sa mga higher floors ng buildings ng nakaheels.

Date bago long break. 🥰

I came across a video on Facebook talking about this cozy Japanese restaurant in Angeles city, so I decided to check it out. I rarely try new places on my own, so nung niyakag ko si Beng, she didn't give it a second thought and agreed to come with me.

The place is called "Ylang Ylang Eatery". Such a beautiful name, though wala siyang signage sa labas. Pagdating namen, it felt like it was meant to be kase saktong may 2 seats ang available and dun sa corner. Sayang lang na unavailable mostly yung appetizers and noodles nila nung dumating kame. We ordered the same thing; Gyudon. In my opinion, apakasarap niya. I have this thing about sous vide eggs, and theirs is one of the perfect ones I had. The meat was good. The crispy and savory talbos ng kamote was exceptional dahil may konting spice. Beng also ordered a cup of their matcha. I also wanted to try one but didn't want to risk it. She liked it, although she did say na she expected the drink to be a bit bigger.

After our very filling lunch, we walked around. We also took breaks from time to time. We're at the age na ata talaga na if we see a bench or a chair, we'll sit on it. 😅🤭 I made her try my fave mini ice cream. She liked it, too. She gave me this, although she made me read and explain it to her.

We were just thinking of where to have dinner when we remembered our second option, The Pancake House. But when we got there, we found out that it was already closed. As in, permanently closed. So, naghanap nalang kame ng malapit na makakainan, and we found McDonald's. Kahit mula tanghali hanggang gabi na kameng magkasama, the stories never end. I just wish we would have more time next time.

But, of course, the day had to end.
