On days like today, Dedan likes to keep himself busy. Shachihata is the last stop of the day, because it takes so damn long to do; but taking the tram over to Pentel allows him to do the cow barn first, then the mines afterwards, making sure that his Zone stays relatively Spectre-free. However;

Today, it seems, the cow barns don’t have an issue. And his Elsen are avoiding eye contact, like a guilty bunch. Fortunately, lifting one by the shirt collar and giving a rough shake is enough to get it talking.

There’s a Purifier in his zone---and its ‘helping’.

Right now, it should be in the darker section of the mines, heading towards the post office itself. So he drops that cringing, pathetic worm, then makes his way to the entrance tunnel, slipping through with some difficulty, before stalking into the shadows, grateful for his eyes, which see better than most. Its a simple enough task to check the tunnels for the intruder.

And when he finds him? 

SMACK.

Right upside the head. Might well feel like getting struck by a January, but from higher up, the other seeing a hulking silhouette and gold eyes.

Although whatever 'humanity' he had left (apart from the occasional whisper of a word or phrase here or there), the batterbeast knew another batter when he saw (or more likely smelled) one.

The Queens General heaves a short sigh. He’s had that nagging feeling that someone has been watching him for a while now. Faint footsteps have followed him on his journey across Zone One---and he stands now outside Shachihat, one hand resting on hip, head tipping to one side as a boot taps against the metal beneath his feet.

His head turns to look back.

He spent a lot of time in Zone 0. Zone 0 seemed to be where he had the best chances of finding the Judge - it was where he most frequently caught glimpses of the white, ever-grinning feline, even if those glimpses were few and far between. At least, they felt far between. There wasn’t much concept of time left in this world.
