It's been awhile since I first started this blog as an ask blog- which fell flat on its face, of course. With a bit of effort after leaving it, I came back to create the roleplay blog it is to this day. It is through the confidence given to me by all my lovely little followers that I have managed to keep it going this long. I love you all, and it is hard to chose favorites, but there are a number of you I consider my senpai's, and have grown through roleplaying with you and watching you.

Akane had always been a heavy sleeper. If she'd paused to think about it, she might have connected it to her body's low pain tolerance. The Awakusu-Kai's princess hadn't developed a very strong constitution, even after she'd matured into a young woman. It was a shame, but she'd learned to cope. And the deep sleep proved incredibly useful most of the time- she'd never been kept awake by worries and nerves. Though they'd made fair attempts at it. 

So when something pressed down on the edge of her bed and woke her, it was a very big deal. Akane did not wake up for just anything. But as her mind was foggy and unwilling to turn on, the princess disregarded it and relaxed again. 

Then she felt a weight on her legs. At first Akane wondered if she might have moved her quilt in her sleep, but the sense of pressure spread and intensified. A spark went off deep in the back of her brain: someone was lying on top of her. 

"Ah...?"

Akane groaned and squeezed her eyelids. Wake up, wake up! Her instincts shouted at her. When she finally batted her eyelashes enough to raise them, she found herself staring into two bright violet eyes. Instantly, dread overcame her. Akane felt her stomach mushing itself into pulp and then dropping down her legs. Her expression leapt from groggy to terrified in less than a second. Akane parted her lips to scream but Manya pressed his hand over her mouth. 

"Shh..."

--Having been focused upon his music, he had not noticed those who had approached him for several seconds. Having been singing to himself, his voice slowly trailed to silence as he looked up at those who stood before him.
