RFC: My Tabi Model

So I've been thinking about releasing the Tabi model publicly for a while now. I've made enough images with it and figure it's high time to get this out. I've actually considered releasing it a few times (even prepping a release candidate at one point) but I have backed out each time. Hoping this will help give me the motivation. There's always been some issue or another preventing the release.

This post is a request for comment. See, I know there's stuff wrong with the model but I have worked so long on it that I legit can't see. Any issues my brain instantly glosses over. And before you type it, yes I have waited months and come back to it with fresh eyes. That isn't working anymore. Or maybe there isn't anything wrong. I legit cannot objectively look at the model anymore.

One thing that keeps coming up every so often is that I feel the head needs work, that it doesn't look like Tabi enough. There's something off. But then I look at it sometime later and feel it's accurate.

If there's anything you think should be added lemme know too! I figure there's definitely stuff I missed or QoL things I can do I'm not aware people need/use too.

I think the name Novia fits her, I guess...

Hey everyone, updates from the dev desk! We have a new guest character coming down the pipeline, but he's causing trouble already.

A new character is coming to the Pico’s School fighting game project, and he’s trading his microphone arrows for direct combat!

Here is a sneak peek at the Work-In-Progress (W.I.P) sprite sheets for Boyfriend (FNF) as a guest fighter in the Pico’s School MUGEN Project. 

While I am still heavily focused on completing the classic cast and finishing up the last two character from last years, BF was too highly requested to pass up.

In this preview, you can see his redesigned idle stance and basic movement frames. I wanted to move away from his usual hunch and rhythm-bop to give him a grounded, aggressive combat posture inspired by the legendary Mindchamber style. 

He fits right into the gritty, classic Newgrounds era.

I’ve completely redrawn his frames to give him a true Newgrounds fighting game scale, making him look older, sharper, and ready to clash with the likes of Pico, Darnell, and Cassandra.

Expect microphone whip strikes, speaker-box drops, sonic rhythm waves, and a special 'Max Mode' inspired by hitting a perfect streak.

This project has been a solo labor of love for years, and creating these custom sheets takes time.

As for his lore in this engine: Boyfriend handed Otis a note begging to join the roster. 

Otis was asleep at the time, but BF woke him up demanding a spot! Pico is away on other business, 

so Otis and I are running the show. BF thinks this fighting style looks cool, but he’s going to have to be patient while I code his full combat moveset.
