In the previous post we have discussed about Understand Conic Sections and In today's session we are going to discuss about Frequency Polygon. Hello students, in this blog we are going to discuss the frequency polygon. We know that there are lots of methods in statistics to represents the data sets in a graphical manner like histograms, bar charts and many more. Frequency polygon is one of them. Frequency polygon is a type of graph that is used generally to compare the data sets. Frequency polygon finds the shape for the frequency distribution. Although the frequency distribution and histogram works on the same property and look like almost same but they have little difference like frequency polygon displays the data in a line graph whereas histogram displays the data in a bar graph. By joining middle points of the rectangles that are on top of histogram we can get the frequency polygon.
Frequency polygon is pictorial device that are used to understanding the distribution shapes. They are also used to showing the cumulative frequency distribution. We can make the frequency polygon by following the steps that we follow in the making of histogram.
By following some steps we can draw the frequency polygon. The steps are as follows:
Step 1 : - First of all we have to find the middle point of the graph that lies on the x-axis.
Step 2 : - After finding the middle point we have to find graph's frequency that lies on the y-axis.
Step 3 : - And at last we will join the points that are computed from the x-axis and y-axis.
It is to be noted that the the independent variables are plotted on the x-axis and dependent variables are plotted on the y-axis.
Addition And Subtraction Worksheets gives the idea by which we can easily solve the addition and subtraction examples for two or more numbers. Maharashtra Secondary Board education is providing good education techniques for the welfare of the students.
