"Peace be upon you, I bid farewell..

So if we live, Allah will reunite us

And if we die, the Day of Judgement will gather (us)."

“They asked Abū ‘Ubaydah al-Khawwas why he hasn’t laughed in 40 years?

He said: How can I laugh when a Muslim is still imprisoned by the Mushrikīn? [Narrated in Sifāt as-Safwah (2/416)]

What would he do if he seen the attitude of Muslims today towards their captives! Torture, humiliation, violation, forgotten, neglected families!

Have you thought about Muslim captives or their families? Have you ever raised your hands in du’ā for them? Have you asked Allāh to keep them steadfast under the torture and in the dark lonely cells? Have you ever imagined feeling what they and their families feel?

Keep the answer between you and Allāh! But know: captives and their families have rights upon us, and He will ask us about it!”

Narrated Abu Huraira:

Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) talked about Friday and said, "There is an hour (opportune time) on Friday and if a Muslim gets it while praying and asks something from Allah, then Allah will definitely meet his demand." And he (the Prophet) pointed out the shortness of that time with his hands.

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ، عَنِ الأَعْرَجِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ذَكَرَ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ فَقَالَ ‏ "‏ فِيهِ سَاعَةٌ لاَ يُوَافِقُهَا عَبْدٌ مُسْلِمٌ، وَهْوَ قَائِمٌ يُصَلِّي، يَسْأَلُ اللَّهَ تَعَالَى شَيْئًا إِلاَّ أَعْطَاهُ إِيَّاهُ ‏"‌‏.‏ وَأَشَارَ بِيَدِهِ يُقَلِّلُهَا‏.‏

The believer that hopes for the reward of his Lord and seeks every provision in his life from him, takes advantage of such timings to ask him for what he desires.

Do not forget the prisoners, while you do your supplications.
