New blog to document my Free MBA experience
In today’s society, we are born, thrown in school for 12 years given a sheet of paper then told to attend school for another 4+ years to receive yet another sheet of paper. How many of us can afford that? Are these sheets of paper truly necessary? Or are they just representations of the knowledge and dedication presented and displayed during a collegiate journey. I do not look down upon anyone for completing any sort of degree program. I believe that earning a degree can be a fulfilling experience that allows one time to see the most intricate parts of themselves. But what of the 25 year old working autodidact with bad credit? Where is his recognition for his ability to read, write and understand concepts beyond the high school level? I have known about MOOCs like Coursera.org and edX.org for over a year. I’ve even completed a few courses. But not until today have I thought to compile a collection of courses the simulate a collegiate curriculum. After reading “The One Year BA” on degreeoffreedom.org, I decide to do just that. This blog is dedicated to that journey. I have a list of 46 courses that I plan to complete within the next 24 months. Wish me luck.
