When my athlete, Sam reached out to me with a goal of running the Philadelphia Marathon in 3 hours and 30 mins, I told her to just follow her training program and we will see in November. She worked hard, but more importantly she was consistent - and let me tell you my most successful athletes are the most consistent athletes. I can tell because she tracks and saves her workouts on her @garminfitness watch and uploads her completed workouts to @trainingpeaks , a software I use to write my custom training programs. See photo 2, green means the workout is completed, yellow means itโs incomplete, and orange means she ran too far (see photo 2 for example). Long story short, a month later I predicted that she will complete the marathon in 3:30:xx, another couple of weeks after that 3:25, then 3:20, then 3:17 by race week. Since itโs her first marathon and she wants to so badly qualify for the Boston marathon I asked her to run the race more conservatively so she can guarantee a qualification. She did just that, finishing her first marathon in 3:20:49. This week, Iโm giving away a free custom training program (one month) for charity. ๐ Click the link in my bio and sign up for a September virtual run to enter to win! A winner will be announced this Sunday after my final 30K! Good luck and stay tuned! (there is a no medal/donation only option as well. Medal will cost $25 extra) ๐ Tag a someone who can use this! _ #runformyheroes #freecustomtrainingprogram #customtrainingprogram #trainingprogram #ppereliefinitiative #prehab (at New York, New York) https://www.instagram.com/p/CFfyhEgH6tY/?igshid=1higyldw8crl7
