So in the show, the promotional poster features Adriana and Brayden, while the book cover shows Adriana and Freddie. In the show, Adriana spends more time with Brayden. In the book, Adriana spends roughly equal amounts of time with both of them. So clearly, the show made choices. And the end of season 1 isn't a true ending like in the book; narratively, the story isn't finished. It seems logical to hope that in the show, Adriana will end up with Brayden and not Freddie. Because, frankly, in the show, it doesn't make sense for her to end up with Freddie. It makes sense in the book, but not in the show. And even, from what I know, even though it makes sense for Freddie to be the endgame in the book, most readers have always preferred Brayden and didn't like the ending. So either the ending will be changed in the show, or it's a crappy marketing ploy they're prioritizing over a coherent narrative.
