so i finished that piece i did of my boi i started a week ago. just a small thing but i feel like i’ve improved leaps and bounds since starting the prior piece i posted of him, guess i must be improving. notes and story relevant details under the cut if you’re interested!

finally finished this piece a few months ago but was too shy to post it. it’s basically concept art of my oc’s from my comic idea called GHEDE about a zombie investigating his own murder. the guy in purple is the zombie and main character fred corvis while the girl behind him is the main antagonist lady azure or just azure. i’ve been working on this story for years and still barely have the skeleton of a skeleton of the story but i’ve felt motivated lately to post about it. let me know what you think and if you’d be interested in learning more about these characters or the story, i look forward to seeing what people thing.

i’ve almost finished fred’s shading, all thats left is his skin and some glow reflecting off the purple flames. 

normally when shading skin it’s best to mix in some warmer hues (add red or pink) but since fred is a zombie i thought adding in some blues would be better for his skin shading to give him a more “fresh from the grave” feeling. i have the base skin color, a warm shade, and a dead shade for example and a bit of the blue already mixed into his skin, but i wanted a second or even third opinion before i went forward. 

also how is his hair looking? good? need improvements? i’m just kinda new to hair so just making sure i got it right.
