"Look, I'm sorry, but if we keep going I this direction, the company -" Dean tries to shut out Zachariah's drone with a nice little fantasy involving punching the smug bastard in the nose. The tactic is only partially successful, in that the man's nasal tones slip into the background, but Zachariah is still going. Deans just imagining what sound will erupt from the cartilage snapping beneath the force of Dean's right hook when Cas trods heavily on his foot under the table. Dean shoots a glare at his friend, who answers with a tilt of his head toward the top of the table. Michael sits, silver pen tapping lightly on a yellow pad of paper, eyeing Dean with a curious expression on his face. Dean schools his own features to something he hopes vaguely resembles respectful attention just in time to hear Michael interrupt Zachariah with a dismissive, "Thank you, but you're wrong." Dean can't help the grin that spreads across his face, particularly when he catches the sour lemon pucker of Zachariah's lips. Almost as satisfying as breaking the guy's nose. Almost. ——— I was tagged by @hamburgergod! The rules: Take five minutes and five minutes only to write a drabble. No re-reading or editing allowed.
