Well well well, Mr. Once-ler, you sure are a fashionable fellow! What are some of your favorite things to wear, besides the dapper green suit you seem to favor?
Dear Freckled Viking,
Why, thank you kindly! You sure are right about that. I'd deny it humbly, but lying's a nasty habit.
As for those sharp emerald threads weāre all familiar with, I donāt know if I āfavorā them. Yāsee, those are mostly for public occasions. Shindigs where everyoneās expecting to see the guy they recognize from TV like he crawled straight out of a technicolor tube. Least I can do for them is deliver the goods! Thatās the lot in life of a corporate eccentric. And, being this is a public broadcast of a kind, I figured I oughtta draw myself that way for you, too.
But another one of you asked somethingĀ justĀ like this! So, my Nordic friend, Iāll give you the rundown:Ā
When nobody much has to see me, I got a whole different bag. This is something I wear when I just wanna take it easyācrazy comfortable, if it aināt much to look at. Now if you unfold this letter, youāll revealĀ a few examples of stuff Iāve worn recently, a far more funky bunch. Watch it, because there might be one or two printed in full color under that fold there.
This oneās pretty outrageous.Ā Iām modelinā here for the thneed campaign, on a shoot for a European high fashion publication. That cape is custom made, and man is it fab. Makes me look like some kinda grand vizier.
I swear to you, this is a genuine certified getup I wear, no foolinā. I just thought I might as well show it to you on the Dress the Once-ler Paper Doll (c) since itās darned accurate to life! I may have also got tired of drawing.
Here I am all decked out. (You wonāt believe where I got those shades.) This is a happy in-between: echoing the signature suit, but a mix all its own.
This is a draft of a magazine ad (illustration by you-know-who) that never did get out to print. The gruvvulous getup Iām donning here is something Iāve had for quite a spell now, but I still wear it a heap. Itās got kind of a spaceman feel to it, and I mostly wear it when Iām conducting operations around the factory. Yāknow, putting off futuristic vibrations. Now that I think about it, I probably throw it on as much as the striped suit!
Hope that gave you an idea of some ensembles and such you donāt see me wearing much. And as always, thanks for dropping a line!

-Is hit in the head by a small piece of balled up paper- what th- Yeah I wouldn't recommend coming outside, it's about to start dumping animals again soon.
Oh, sorry.
Is it? God damn, we have strange weather lately, donāt we? I mean, mouses and rats were okay, but I really donāt like when itās raining cows and deers. Itās really dangerous.
Where Has the Time Gone? || @freckled-viking || Older!Hiccup AU
Time... that was a concept that had long since eluded Jack's understanding. Days and nights would mesh together as the sprite often found himself crossing time zones time and time again. There were times where a day felt as if itād drawn out to the expansion of several weeks; or perhaps several weeks compacted into a single day. Ā Mornings faded into daunting nights that always wore Jackson taut like a wire. Perhaps he was more of the morning person?
Jack always traveled. He always mapped the globe searching for new and far off things yet to be discovered and mapped into the windās memory. Perhaps it was the constant curiosity to go beyond and explore what has yet to be explored that often brought the fae into that constant endeavor. Time was not of his interest, in fact, it was the least of his possible concerns. In the subject of time ā what he held was limitless. Though, he couldnāt imagine how those who did have such limitations could stand wasting their times stuck in the same remedial position.
Humans were baffling at times.
But not all.
There was one that always managed to tickle into the forefront of the winter spiritās subconscious. What an impression the auburnet made on Jack, indeed. Vikings were those who were rumored to be plunderers and conquerors of the vast unknown, but not this one in particular. He was a hiccup; he was Hiccup. Slender, freckled and bony ā those werenāt adjectives one would expect an heir to a tribe to harbor, but they were rightfully fitting in any caseā¦
What a first impression that kid could make. Little did Jack know that fumbling, walking fishbone would eventually bring Jack so drawn in. Yes, indeed first impressions were not Hiccupās forte, if Jack was allowed to think so boldly of.
The sights of the lithe youth mixed between the crowds of his Viking heritage, Jack Frost was nonetheless intrigued immediately when the wind decidedly drove him off course - to a certain heavily wintered area. Berk was it? Anyhow, with interest quipped, Jack followed closely and did what he did best: observed. But it was apparent that the usual interactions Jack was familiar with (which were none) was not this case. Immediately heād been spotted and questioned and eventually feared. Who in the stars was Jokul Frosti and why did he expect the winter wielder to bury him in snow if he wasnāt pleased?
Viking myths were weird.
Boy, how fast attachment worked. But when having not a soul see you for centuries, could it really be a surprise?
Eventually the time came for Jack to leave and allow the scarce few spring and summer months come take their course in Berk. The faster he left, the faster he could return, right? Oh, if only. With what felt like only months passing was about the time Jack decided to returned to see that little Viking once again. His little Viking.
The fae rode clouds of puffy white into the region, subtly signaling his arrival of course.
((As a note this is more with a modern Hiccup.))
Hiccup was tired of being alone. High school had been shit, college wasnāt much better. Sure there wasnāt any drama but heād already been turned down by multiple people and it had only been 3 months into college. Hiccup had always been the guy who figured out his own problems. And this time? this time heād found a solution to his love life. It had happened when he looked down at his prosthetic leg. Sure it was metal under neath but it was smart, moving with his brain and coated in a skin like substance. It looked real, felt real, moved real. Why couldnāt he just make a person the same way? It had been almost 5 months since he started working. And now he was.. done. Hiccup stood up, cracking his back as he smiled quirkily at the white haired male in front of him. He was perfect. Perfect physically at least. heād have to turn him on to find out if the software worked. āOkay, here goes nothing.ā He sighed softly and plugged in the USB download in Jacks neck.
As the software that would make Jack work installed itself the robot slept however as soon as the last of the file was installed he twitched a little. He slowly lifted his head, his eyelids twitching a bit before they slowly opened. He blinked, looking around before his eyes came to rest on Hiccup. He frowned, confused. He wasn't sure where he was or actually...really much of anything. "Hello?" he asked Hiccup as he looked at him. "where.....where am I?" he asked asked, stretching a little. He felt like he'd been sitting the same way for ages. He couldn't recall much, just knowledge and two names, Hiccup and Jack. He thought for a minute. "are you Hiccup? or are you Jack?"

HIccup Smiled. "And then i was thinking we could-" He stopped speaking, narrowing his eyes. ".. whats on your neck?" He muttered before walking closer. He put one hand on jacks waist so he couldn't back up as Hiccup examined the Hickey on jacks neck. "..Let me guess.. you can explain?" He asked eyes narrowed.
Jack was listening to Hiccup talking till he heard him stop. His eyes went wide and he frowned. As Hiccup let go of him after examining the Hiccup he pulled the hood of his hoodie over his head. āYeah I can.ā he said, turning away. āIāll tell you this much I didnāt get it of my own will okay?ā
"What the hell happened to the gods hating you huh, Cupcake?" The spirit asked with a slight snicker. "If you ask me, they were just a tad bit too kind to you."
