When I auditioned for Nadine, the only descriptive terms that I had for her was that she was South African and she was, like, a general’s daughter. Her dad owned a militia. And so that’s where I went in with it. My auditioning scene was the one with Rafe where they’re figuring out where Nate was spying on them, and he was seeing like this back and forth, basically, arm wrestle for power between the two of them and you get to see this little bit of ‘is there a romance there?’ but it’s also very business.
