See I fucks with you cause you understand that ribs and brown sugar were made for each other
they are! i mean, honey is cool, but esp if you like a lil bark on your ribs, brown sugar is the way to go. i just think that the burnt brown sugar taste is PERFECT for pork ribs.

How you gonna cook these ribs
300 degree oven for 2 hours covered, then hit it with light brown sugar and dinosaur bbq roasted garlic honey bbq sauce and put it uncovered in the broiler for 5-10 to get a lil char on it. they're spare ribs, so they should cook fairly fast.

It’s funny cause even the network was like “nobody is gonna watch this”
i wish no one had
literally the only contribution Seinfeld gave to the world that I feel is of any value whatsoever is the scene transition music.

I don't think it's that she doesn't get it, it's that this narrative of the underdog white girl being bullied benefits the shit out of her career. watch her win the grammy for best rap album.
Oh, she's 100% gonna win the Grammy. There's no doubt. I mean, here's the rundown:
Wiz Khalifa - Blacc Hollywood. First off, the fact that this was nominated over Pusha T's My Name Is My Name baffles me. Second, who's checking for Wiz? It's not 2008. I just don't even get why this is on the list. Also, what's with the double-c, Wiz? You ain't a Crip.
Common - Nobody's Smiling. Common is never going to win a Grammy against any album with a hit single. That's no insult to Common, it's just facts.
Eminem - MMLP2. There's a slight chance this wins, but probably not. When it came out, a lot of people pretended it was good because it was a technical return to form, but the content was so empty and shallow and it was so clearly an attempt to recapture a long-gone glory that the hype fell off a cliff into a ravine.
ScHoolboy Q - Oxymoron. I want Q to have a chance, because he's great, and Oxymoron was a good album. It had solid singles that got a lot of play, and even though I don't think it was as consistently good an album as H&C, he put in work on it. But he's not the type of rapper the Grammys reward. He deserves recognition, but ain't no way he's gonna get it from that organization.
Childish Gambino - Because the Internet. This is an underrated album, and even without the screenplay and ARG content, it's well-conceived and well-executed. In all honesty, he deserves the win, and even as someone who's been a fan from the beginning, I didn't expect that. He used to occupy a niche that is so far removed from what wins awards that I never would have seen it coming, but his craft has so improved that it can't really be denied if you give the album a good listen. But he won't win, though, because it didn't make enough of a splash. Like, to the point where they're advertising for it again like it's new a year out and starting to play 3005 on the radio like it's a new single. He deserves the win, but he 100% won't get it.
Iggy's got it locked. It's like Macklemore last year, except Macklemore was up against Kendrick's universally acclaimed album that had two hit singles that were played every-goddamn-where, one of which featured Drake. Kendrick should have had it locked and still lost out, so Iggy's got it in the bag unfortunately.

question tho: I know the mayor called for it but does it seem like the protests will stop until after the funerals?
i doubt it. i think ppl will be out but not in the numbers we've been seeing. the thing that people are failing to realize is that it's not just the mayor calling for moratoriums, it's clergy and community leaders too (which is barely being reported on even locally tbh). but there seems to be a generational gap at work here between the older more established entities (rev. al et al) and the younger activist folk. i am just hoping that nobody gets hurt or killed bc tbh bc i have not seen cops on such a wartime mentality in this town since 9/11

no you right. she is absolutely human and her not having the constructed and curated identity that most celebrities have makes her a lot harder to compartmentalize. but at the same it makes her easier to dislike.
i just think it's becoming harder bc the conversation can't be simplified to "DO YOU ABSOLUTELY RIDE FOR HER OR DON'T YOU?" which is what we often end up asking each other in not so many words about celebs that we like or don't like. and i think it's forcing people to go, you know, maybe i like her views on this, i think her views on that are shitty, yadda yadda, maybe i like her music, maybe i dont, we don't have to view a nuanced human as an all or nothing package
basically i think it's freeing people to admit their faves fuck up and are human and to accept that
