Figured I could give you a bit more on how we escaped. we had to hide out for a while, to try to heal me up as much as possible. luckily, my German is quite good, cause we probably would have quite a bit more issues hiding away otherwise. I was able to convince a lot of people that Rupert was my mute servant, which was definitely not fun, but luckily convinced a lot of people.

Like a surprising amount of people.

we were able to forge quite a few papers to get across the border, The Maquis helped out quite a bit. Especially when it came to hiding us away.

When I got better (Mostly) I was able to hang out in a small pub with Rupert and some of the resistance fighters...

Mon Frère, I fell for him. and I fell hard. of all the people I had to fall for, it had to be the American, Eh?

Sorry I haven't written to you in a while. It... it's hard to write when I know it's not going to you. Why did you have to take my place, you... you sentimental french man. I've been reading poetry. I know. Cheesy. But I think there's a poet you would've liked. His name was Franklin. His name almost went into obscurity, but apparently, Sir Percy Cunningsworth insisted that his poems get published.

It's interesting, an American came to our door not long ago, he told us he survived de last time I saw him, but ze war still managed to take François away.

Ze American also had your brother's Dog tags, no?

Oui. I sink the American and François may have had a thing for each other. But I am not certain.

It was certainly an interesting conversation, though.
