Las Vegas Pizzeria Frankenson's Goes Viral Overnight
A Struggling Restaurant Gets a Boost
Owner Frank Steele opened his Las Vegas pizzeria four months ago, but business wasn't going well. "It has been a struggle. I was lucky if I did $400 a day," Steele said.
A TikTok Video Changes Everything
That all changed on Monday night, when popular TikToker and food reviewer Keith Lee visited the restaurant and posted a review on TikTok. The video went viral, capturing the attention of people all over the world. "Our phone never stopped ringing," Steele said. "I have people coming in from Iowa, people from California, Lake Havasu. I had people come down from Utah, all because of this video."
As of Friday evening, the video had been viewed more than 22 million times and received more than 4 million likes. The restaurant has been completely sold out since Lee's review was posted.
A Dream Come True
Steele says the sudden success has been overwhelming and a blessing. "This restaurant has been a dream of mine for 30 years," he said. "It's just been overwhelming. It's been a blessing." Steele wants to thank Lee and all of his customers, but also apologizes to those he hasn't been able to serve due to the overwhelming response. "I'm working to get stocked up on supplies and food. I am bringing everyone in to help. All I can say is thank you. This has been life-changing," Steele said.
