Yes, these are all real horses. Eclipse, Frankel and Shergar are the most noteable in the list for their victories and, for Shergar, tragedy. Don't worry, she survives in the Uma-Verse.
I hope the Uma franchise will one day focus on international racers, but I know the copyright would be a nightmare to deal with. I also wanted to draw Beef or Salmon and Yeats, but maybe another time. Hoping next time to draw their full racing outfits. Rebel's is by far the easiest...
