Theo and Lily exchange a worried look. I do like this understated moment of reaffirming their close connection even in an episode largely not about either of them.
When they learn the monster of the week has returned to wreak havoc again in Ocean Bluff, Casey initially suggests that Lily stay behind to keep an eye on RJ, but Fran volunteers to do so instead. Yeah, there is some internalized sexism in the background of this episode between this moment and the later Megazord situation (it could be argued the latter was because purple is a mix of red and blue, but it’s still not a great look). The perils of watching a 2000s show aimed at boys in 2023, I suppose.
