the moment she had heard the news about josephines death, she knew things wouldn't be okay. with three people she cared about more than anything having to deal with this, she knew being there for them was about the only thing she could do. after helping antonio out earlier, she went by to see emira at her parents place. and to also bring her overnight bag. she just knew she would be staying over at grays place that night, the last thing he needed was to be alone right now. something she had done when her brother had passed away weeks ago. instead of being around others, she had opted to be alone. to her, she didn't want that for him. with a bag of food she had gotten from the store in her hand, she knocked once on the door before letting herself in. seeing him sitting there on the couch, with a drink in hand, a small sigh escaped her lips. "gray…" she said in a whisper like voice. slipping her shoes off, she made her way over to where he was. placing the bag down on the coffee table, she grabbed the bottle from his hands. the last thing he needed to do was to drink. placing the bottle down next to the bag, she knelt down to look at him. "you don't have to go through this alone." and he didn't. she would stay here if he wanted her too.

her stomach turned as she slipped outside for a few. this had been her first time away from her daughter for night. of course it was going to leave her feeling nervous. what mother wouldn't be nervous about that? sitting on the bench outside, she pulled her phone out before dialing her moms number. and just as she had anticipated, her mother had answered, telling her everything was fine. and to have fun. "mom, did you at least - " before getting a chance to finish, her mom had hung up. a sigh escaping her lips, she looked down at her phone. hearing the door open, she looked up to see it was grayson. "i know i know. i just couldn't help it. had to call to check in."

go and have fun. that's what her mom told her. she had told her not to worry either. and she was trying her hardest to do that. walking over to where soph was, a small smile formed on her lips. "having any fun yet?" she asked, raising an eyebrow. leaning against the wall, she looked over at her. "when zak was born, were you ever nervous to leave him even if it was just for a few hours?" part of her thought she knew the answer, yet, she still wanted to ask anyway. to see if she wasn't the only one who was feeling that.

late nights at the bar & grill were usually her favorites. with people starting to head home, it gave her some peace and quiet. sitting on the chair outside, a small sigh escsped her lips as after she took a sip of her glass of wine. hearing the door open, she looked over. seeing her twin there, she froze for a moment before placing her glass on the table. the last time she had talked to tate, she made it clear that she didn't want thalia in her life. "i didn't think i would ever see you again."

victoria walked into the room carrying a box from the supply closet, dropping it on top of the table before she looked over at the blonde girl. "so what's the plan now? are we waiting on the cops or...?" vic wasn't a person of revenge, but she was a person of justice. you get what you deserve, all that stuff. she'd learned that from soph's dad. and from rhys. he was on the verge of eighteen when victoria stormed into their lives and never left. he did though, in a gruesome way and the thought of just sitting around doing nothing was eating at her.

she was praying that what had happened at the festival after they left was a nightmare. but it wasn't. rhys and ryker were dead. her best firnd and cousin were in the hospital. everything was a mess. the first thing she had done after getting the news was getting emira. at least for a few hours. sitting on the chair in the waiting room, she held emira in her arms. watching as she smiled up at her. looking up, she watched as grayson came over. every part of her was glad that she had him by her side. in a way, she wouldn't know what to do if he wasn't in her life. "how's giada doing?" she asked. she would have gone to see her, but for now, she was letting giadas family visit her first.

he did his due diligence with his friend, so it was only fair that he got to leave this goddamn place. but he had to make one quick stop first, which was to visit his new brother-in-law's...sister? cousin? there were so many of them he really couldn't keep track. and to be fair, he didn't know this woman or care about her well being, but he was nothing if not diplomatic. when he reached her door though, he found a man standing outside. tommy had done his homework, so he did at least recognize him, even if he didn't remember his name. "hey. is she awake yet?" he tried to sound polite and almost concerned as he plastered a small smile to his lips.

arriving in town in time for a beach party felt almost as if a welcome party was being thrown in tommy's honor. though of course he'd opt for something a little less rudimentary if he'd had any say in the matter. the weather was nice at least, and he'd dressed for the part. he was quick to find himself a drink, sipping on a barely decent cocktail as he made his way through the growing crowd. while he did plan to mingle at some point, his focus was elsewhere first. job first, fun second. his eyes locked in on her from behind, recognizing her almost immediately. he didn't quite care much for her, but he'd known her long enough and he was fairly competent at his job. throwing his arm over her shoulders nonchalantly, he opted to ignore whatever peasant she was currently socializing with, voice low so only she could hear. "hello, little sis. you didn't have to go through all this trouble just to welcome me back."
