Eva nervously chewed the inside of her cheek as she stepped into the church. A place she never thought she’d be and honestly, where she didn’t want to be again at this point in time. Too much had happened. She didn’t have time to properly deal with all the shit that happened in Afghanistan, and now with all of these new developments, it was hitting her like a freight train.
Her PTSD was through the roof with Oliver bed ridden again, his injuries far different than last time, but still incredibly crippling. No matter who tried to convince her of it, she would always blame herself for the miscarriage. And after last night, Max tired to murder Oliver. It was a fucking disaster and she didn’t know how to deal with it. So, she did what normal people do and tried to find solace in a church. She wasn’t religious by any means, but she knew the priest was on their side. Which meant she didn’t have to censor everything. A brief text asking if they could talk led her to the inside of the chapel. Finding him as quickly as she could, she questioned, “You’re uh...morally obligated to keep this between us, right? Whatever we talk about?”
