Arkadi, my little one... It's been far too long...Your story will be told, it is written in the stars.

I've been finishing this long overdue second chapter of Tales of Talos, and sincerely hope you guys enjoy the first sprouts of my efforts once they're posted^^ It's been a while since these guys have felt alive, like spring awakening from a cold, dark winter. Feels nice. Feels good.

My deepest apologies for the painfully long hiatus. It turns out the medication I was taking quite literally rewired my brain, and although it made me alert, it also induced what can now be identified as a dissociative fugue. On one hand, I would never recommend that level of emotional nonexistence to any artist(or...really anyone who enjoys having emotions at all). On the other hand, now that it's fading, the experience has provided some great material to pull from.

It was unlike anything I've ever been through. An absence of the self, despite total presence of the mind. You end up doing math on what you should be feeling, based on the memories of who you once were and who you know yourself to have been. Never have I felt so utterly in the dark. And never have I been so thankful for even the most painful of emotions now that I have them back.

Cherish your creativity, folks. Cherish every grain of bliss and grief.

Anyways, enough grandstanding! You want drama, theater, dragons!! Not the scribblings of some artist's diary.

The Hidden Constellations. The Bestias Animus Astra.

These are the profound beasts of cosmic power that the Ancient Talosian Cerulean Clan once called their quarry. The Divine Star Beasts.

Residing in a thin, very precise layer of spirituality called Astral Space, these creatures are neither living nor dead. Their bodies are structured by a frame of arcane magic, woven with threads of divine spiritual energy, and constantly burn with something cosmic and otherworldly in origin. Something alien.

Star Hunting

To hunt a Star Beast is to acquire a concentrated piece of that cosmic energy, and upon wearing it the hunter shall be attuned to both their deepest selves, and the selves of others. The hunting skill of dragons who battle and best a Star Beast become legendary, their quarries magnificent, and the materials gathered from them potent in nutrition and quality. It was through this practice that the Cerulean Clan built their legacy amongst the other clans. You can see this in the clan's garb, most members sporting an heirloom passed down from their parents and grandparents.

Significance

The practice, due to the slow decline in meditative practices(Necessary for entering Astral Space in the first place) has waned drastically in recent years, the last Cerulean to hunt a Bestia Animus Astra being the old Cerulean Chieftain Elder Orion.

The young Chieftain Arkadi wants desperately to return the Cerulean Clan to its former glory by reviving the practice, but unfortunate events in early childhood have left him spiritually disharmonized and internally unbalanced. He can't enter Astral Space...not on his own, at least...

His ambition will drive him. Whether its towards a path of healing and self-acceptance, or towards a path fraught with pain and despair, is entirely up to fate.

AS FOR THE ASK ITSELF.

It's really a strange, yet fantastic feeling! To hear about people's lore evolving and to see them having a blast by bouncing off of each-others creativity, it's one of the very best things about this community. I'm seriously honored that you and your partner found my egg-eater ideas to be entertaining, especially enough to pick up the game again^^

"The Second Coming of the Gods" sounds intriguing as hell simply from the title alone, and is especially so with sheer lore potential for the Shade and the flight gods: Corruption, imbalance vs balance, matter vs antimatter, magic vs mundane, immortality vs mortality, ect ect. There's a million ways beyond what I can imagine for that lore to be weaved, and the thought of that is pure ambrosia.

When your moms are long time business tycoons in the Sornieth fashion industry, and said moms forget to childproof their luggage containing highly expensive dyes & gifts of enchanted jewelry. 

I've been preoccupied with my health since January. I won't go into too much detail, but basically I've gone through life without being able to wake up all the way. ( haven't done too shabby, all things considered!)

So, diagnosing meant lots of appointments and infusions ect ect. I swear they took enough blood to make their own philosopher's stone! But luckily all that paid off, and my oldest issue with being a perpetual zombie is...well, its pretty much gone!

Seriously. I had no idea that normal people wake up completely different. Its just a moment of grogginess, blink blink, and then awake...I woke up like that a couple weeks ago when I was testing treatments, and believe me it was like gaining a superpower. You guys wake up like this and it is INCREDIBLE!

This past week I've been readjusting to these life changes, and just enjoying this new awake feeling. This whole health debacle is also why art has been a bit slow these past few months, but I plan on reworking my creative schedule as I get used to things.
