#fps limiter

Yes, I do limit my Frames Per Second because I’m using an Nvidia Geforce GTX 1050 Ti graphics card and it would burn up if I didn’t. ;-)

I used to use Bandicam but I found that the program didn’t always start up with Windows (even though the option was enabled in its settings) and I wouldn’t always remember to check it, so I’ve gone back to the old way of limiting FPS by using 3booter and fpslimiter from the MATY website.

The game probably doesn’t need the 3booter program anymore but the fpslimiter does. The download for 3booter is in the first post and the download for fpslimiter is in the second post. Instructions about where to install both files are also in the second post but just in case it helps, here’s a screenshot of where my files are.

That’s “C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3″. Note that you also need the other two files as well, HookHelper.dll and Limiter_D3D9.dll in the same place. 

Ignore the CCMagic file, unless of course, you are also using CC Magic to start your game but if you are, you’ll need further instructions on how to set that up to use 3booter.

Yes I do. Currently I’m using the one that’s included in Bandicam but before that I was using the FPS Limiter available at MATY. The download for it is in the second post on this page and it’s called: fpslimit.zip

NVidia Inspector doesn't seem to work with my Sims 3.

Is there ANY other way to limit the FPS Sims 3 tries to use without using 3booter and its FPS limiter? Because this "200-600 FPS while loading up" thing is RIDICULOUS and I'd like to use the regular sims 3 launcher if possible.
