aka post season 3 canon divergence gentle domestic not-very-much-happens except Sam and Christopher explain how they might have become something, and how it's not entirely clear how they go forwards, but at least Aubrey's in their corner. Also an opportunity to create a bit of Foyle WW1 lore and Stewart family background as honestly? Two vicars and a grandfather who's a Bishop isn't 'a lot of' or even 'quite a few' vicars.
