thinking about hockey au and on-ice hugs when a team scores a goal: given that (a) jere would definitely be on the fourth line (🥲) and (b) fourth line forwards are more likely to be a checking line, probably going big and heavy and (c) no matter what d-pair is on the ice, those guys are never small, like the shortest d-men in the nhl are 6ft/182cm:
imagine: goal is scored and jere is buried in hugs. can’t see him at all until everyone disperses in good cheer
i understood about every 2 word so im gonna search ALL of these terminology so i can properly visualise a match but OH MY GOD THE IMAGE OF JERE BEING ABSOLUTELY BURIED IN HUGS.
his teammates would dote on him 24/7. no questions asked. they all love jere. they will protect him at all costs even when jere is the most feral one and actively seeks trouble on the ice. he just brings out the protectiveness in EVERYONE around him.
like, a goal is scored and the team just hones in on jere like a swarm of locusts, and when they disperse all you can see is a dishevelled tiny jere bumbling about, high on adrenaline and happiness
