You can play as a Lair Dweller, but if you get caught by Ultra, depending on your level, they will cure you and game over, or they shoot you and game over || Alternatively, as like a DLC: You can play as an Ultra agent, but no other TPs will trust you in the city.

You have a comms system... And it’s just Dan Stevens making witty comments and handing you hilarious statistics of survival and updating you on Russell’s antics 

Cara and Stephen and Russell communicate telepathically with you.

John only talks to you in your welcome to the Lair intro chapter. Everytime after that you try and interact with him, until you reach a certain level, he will be working on TIM in his office and will not respond. When you hit the level, he’ll give you a mission to steal Dolofonium from a secret facility.

Random teleporting?!?!!! Like, in the first few levels. Oh, you’re doing a run-- NEVERMIND YOU’RE IN FUCKING HARLEM NOW. BETTER RUN BACK AND TRY AND TELEPORT

Telekinesis mini games.

CHOOSING. YOUR. SPECIALIZATION. Whichever you choose will not interfere in your ability to use them (Cara & co will still talk to you), but using them in defense situations will give you a boost in how strong they are

Customizable avatar.

Your own room in the Lair (see: Lair Layout from long ago)

You can steal stuff for your room, but it has a difficulty level based on your skill points in telekinesis and teleportation (you can totally jack Van Gogh’s... Or Jedikiah’s Eames chair if you’re high enough)

Main questline starts when John gives you the mission to steal the dolofonium. Sidequests build skill. 

Noodle shop, subway station, Ultra, Lair, the Citadel, Stephen’s house and other locations available

THE CITADEL CAN BE AN ENTIRE DLC. SO CAN THE ANAX PROJECT (sub DLC of Ultra Agent, probs).

A fun side quest would be a scavenger hunt for all of Astrid’s audition shit that somehow got scattered across NYC and then you have to teleport her to the audition on time.

The Founder shows up at a certain level and tries to convince you to help him by manipulating the shit outta you across multiple levels

Cara, Stephen, Russell and Charlotte are available as companions during dangerous missions, each with their own unique power skill (Telepathy, Chronokinesis, telekinesis and psionic shriek, respectively)

After you steal the dolofonium for John and he gives it to Irene to study, he’ll accompany you as like a companion and provide a complex teleporting skill for higher level missions (like hitting a button on 6 different pedestals at once) as well as the ability to kill Ultra agents

TTP OCS WILL BE INSERTED INTO THE GAME. CLARI TAKES YOU ON A RUN TO TEACH YOU HOW TO STEAL, CAS TRAINS YOU IN FIGHTING, JINX SHOWS YOU THE NOODLE SHOP AND WHERE TO JACK CLOTHES FROM, LIAM GIVES YOU BACKSTORY ON JOHN AS WELL AS A MISSION TO RUN WITH HIM TO STEAL PARTS FOR TIM FROM ULTRA. (In the Ultra DLC, Zane is the asshole human agent who has no patience for you and hates Clarissa with a passion and Alex is the ‘fun’ agent who talks about how Clari kicked his ass once and he’s in love with her. Also, Albert Wesker character who was on the kill squad, and Diana talking about a secret project she’s working on and looking for her partner -- which will arrive in the form of John when he gets caught in both storylines).

You can also punch Natalie.

YOU CAN ALSO PUNCH MIKE. Or throw him into a wall after he’s rude to Jinx or Clari or makes a remark about Cas’ disability or John being a freak.

It loosely follows canon. Roger is brought back, and you can go to Ultra to join the peace negotiation and get the tracker/kill switch in your head or stay in the lair (but you could die if you get the tracker/kill switch injected, it will be randomized, because your choices have consequences), and you can stop Natalie and Russell from taking Roger to the Founder, or you can aid them

If you’ve completed quests or have not, it will reflect on how much sway you have with other lair dwellers

RED AVENGER DLC

YOU CAN VOTE IN THE LEADERSHIP VOTE WHEN EVERYONE FINDS OUT JOHN IS ANAXED

ALSO YOU CAN HIT THE CLUB PARTY AFTER A CERTAIN LEVEL (All Tomorrow’s Parties style) but after that, you can go back freely and use your powers to impress people and steal money from them

CONEY ISLAND TRIP WITH MORGAN, WHERE YOU SCAM PEOPLE AS PSYCHICS

YOU CAN CHOOSE WHETHER OR NOT TO BREAK JED OUT OF THE MENTAL HOSPITAL WHEN HE SNAPS AT THAT POINT IN THE STORYLINE

YOU CAN VISIT MARLA IN THE HOSPITAL IF YOU’RE INJURED AND GET ‘HEALED’ ( or you can steal from a pharmacy, but it’s harder)

Ultra DLC you can have Alex, Darcy, or Hillary as a companion

If you ‘fail out’ of the Ultra training program, you get your powers stripped and game over. 

YOU CAN DIE IN THE ANAX DLC AFTER MAKING A SERIES OF CHOICES (or you run off and join up with Killian McCrane and blow Ultra to Hell if you make the really wrong choices)

YOU CAN HAVE A STEPHEN TIME REVERSAL RESCUE SAVE ONCE EVERY # LEVELS where he will take you back to two minutes before you fucked up
