「🕸️ If this regarded himself he likely would have ignored it. He was used to Valentino's outbursts; whether verbally, physically, or both. But witnessing Val doing something so slimy to someone he considered a friend fucking irritated him. He had seen how uncomfortable Charlie was, and it pissed him off that he couldn't do anything to stop it. He likely would have made it worse. But he still tried behind closed doors to protect her from him. Didn't matter if she needed it or not.

The whole ordeal had come flooding back when he thought about his sister. Molly ending up in hell would be horrid enough but the thought of Val putting his greasy paws on her made him sick. But the fact it happened to one of his friends at all...Well, he felt a bit guilty not checking on her after. Truthfully, he was afraid she'd have questions, still was, but he needed to check on her. So, he went to the location she approved of and waited until they were settled.

"Oh lighten the fuck up, princess," Velvette rolls her eyes as she makes her way over to the rather pouty woman sitting off to the side. "You pushed those angels back last year. They'll think twice before messing with any of us again. So stop moping, and live a little! You did your job!"

With that, Velvette reaches up to cup Charlie's face, pulling her down just enough until she can press their lips together for a brief kiss, humming into it.

"Hmm...?"

It takes a moment for Velvette to come to. Charlie's face is the first thing that she registers, and she can't help the sigh of relief that escapes her lips. "Hey, Princess," She says, managing a smile for her sake as she does her best to sit up

But ornate red walls start to come into view too. Wait, this ain't the Tower... and more pieces start to click before Velvette is yelping, sitting up quickly and backing up.

"Why the fuck am I here?!"

"Huh? No...No I don't. S'nothin'..."

The slur in her words made it obvious that no. No it really wasn't. Vagatha was many things but weak. Stubborn and strong-willed. Enduring to a fault. But she would not let herself be seen as weak even in the eyes of her friends and loved ones. She had a job to do and she had been pushing herself more and more with every waking moment.

The pressure of doing her best or failing had been teetering on her shoulders. And even while on the brink, she had pushed herself to be the hotels sole provider. 72 hours of no sleep was starting to show. She slumped against the nearby wall some, her shoulder's stiffening as she fought her knees to keep upright.

She was fine. Nothing was wrong.

And she would show it goddammit.

i’m  so  here  for  this.  i’m  simply  too  seated.  i  really  think  they  have  the  potential  to  have  one  of  the  deepest  platonic  bonds  in  the  entire  series—they  have  their  ups  and  downs  and  differences  in  philosophy,  sure,  but  one  thing  angel  really  appreciates  about  charlie  is  how  unconditionally  she  loves  the  people  she  holds  dear,  including  him.  so  many  people  in  his  life  and  afterlife  just  give  up  on  him  after  a  certain  point  (which,  in  many  cases,  is  fair  lmfao;  he  is     not     an  easy  person  to  love),  and  he’s  long  expected  the  same  of  her,  but  the  way  she  welcomes  him  back  with  open  arms  every  time  he  fucks  up  or  makes  a  mistake  or  says  something  he  shouldn’t  have  to  her  moves  him  so  deeply,  deeper  than  he  could  ever  actually  articulate.

i  mention  this  every  now  and  then,  but  my  personal  theory  is  that  charlie  is  a  lot  like  molly  (down  to  them  having  similar-sounding  names)  and  though  that  really  hurts  angel’s  heart  in  a  lot  of  ways  because  he  hasn’t  seen  his  sister  in  80  years,  and  on  top  of  that  spent  his  whole  life     pushing  her  away     because  he  felt  she’d  be  better  off  without  him,  it’s  also  so  comforting  and  makes  him  feel  as  if  he  has  a  second  chance  to  cherish  her.  similarly  to  charlie,  molly  never  gave  up  on  him  and  kept  coming  back  no  matter  how  many  times  he  tried  to  cast  her  out     “     for  her  own  good  .     ”   but  also  like  how  he  viewed  molly,  angel  puts  charlie  up  on  a  bit  of  a  pedestal  and  worries  about  her  being  too  naïve,  too  vulnerable,  too  trusting,  too  pure.  so  that’s  something  he  has  to  work  through;  seeing  her  as  a  person  who  is  as  strong  as  she  is  loving,  and  who  can  and  will  make  mistakes  and  need  to  take  accountability  for  them.

i’m  yappin  at  this  point  because  i  have  a  lot  of  feelings  about  them  but  yes!!!!  charliedust  slow burn siblingship  is  my  roman  empire
