Imagine telling the world that the way a woman dresses determines whether she deserves respect.
Read that again.
A grown man looked at a post saying, “What a woman wears is not an invitation,” and his response wasn’t, “Everyone deserves respect.”
It was essentially, “If you don’t want to be objectified, dress differently.”
That says far more about his character than it ever could about any woman.
Respect isn’t something women earn by covering more skin. It’s something decent people give because another human being exists.
The fact that he immediately reduced a woman to a sexual object… and then blamed her for how he chooses to view her… is incredibly telling.
Self-control is a character trait.
Respect is a choice.
Accountability belongs to the person making the decision to objectify someone, not the person getting dressed in the morning.
If your first instinct when you see a woman is to decide whether she’s “asking for it,” you haven’t exposed women.
You’ve exposed yourself.
