I think the last time I posted an update the blanket was this big:
And now it’s this big:
Which goes to show I haven’t made much progress...
Granted each row is 8 feet across.
BUT! Good news is that he’s back (and might see this which is a little embarassing)! long before I’ve gotten anywhere near finishing this.
I started this to keep myself calm while waiting and worrying, and it has helped quite a lot.
But now I feel a little like I need to get it done ASAP while knowing it’s still going to be a long time.
Wrankles
The drape on this is so soft.
Uh.....
so
Do you guys happen to remember when I was saying that I wasn’t sure the creator of the pattern measured their blanket right, or maybe they miscounted the rows or stitches or something, and then I decided to just double the number of stitches across because they had a 34x64 inch blanket and I needed one that was AT LEAST 64x72?
And I had ordered double the amount of yarn expecting to make a blanket the same length but twice the width?
...
If they’d measured right, doubling the number of stitches per row in their blanket should have resulted in a blanket that was approximately 64x68 inches.
I’m officially at the halfway point. The blanket is 24x84 inches.
I’m going to have to order more yarn, because I sure as hell am not starting over again.
It’s fucking 2 ft by 7 ft.
7ft is fine, Scott’s 6′4″. 4 feet across when done is not fine...

Running low on the first half of the yarn and it’s only about 2 feet long.
If it makes it to 3 feet on the first half, I’ll be fine. If not I’ll have to order another $90 in yarn and I don’t want to.
Oh.
Going back for that one. A missing stitch is more obvious than one too many.
This segment is coming out very dark.
