♙:Sharing a bed

Adversity bred strange bedfellows, so saying went, but Darren had always thought of the old words as more an abstract.

This was rather concrete.

Darren lay still, listening to the room. Danny was curled up on his side, but it was obvious by his breathing that he was just as awake as Darren. The narrow cot was unyielding and a little too small for either of their comfort, but the cell was relatively secure for a few hours respite.

And there was something nice, even if the younger man was curled away from him, about being so close to another living that doesn't want to kill him.

He sighs softly, shifting down against the hard mattress.

I've been writing with you longer than anyone here on tumblr (I think Heather is literally the only person who has seen more of my writing than you) and it means a lot that you've stuck around to see how far things have come.

✈ - hobbies?

I like... well, it's probably dorky as hell, given my job, but I like drawing. I sketch a lot. I learned to cook from my mother, and I cook whenever I can, but I don't know if I'm good enough or consistent enough for that to be called a hobby.

ツ - any pets?

No. I had a ball python when I lived in California, but I gave her to my young cousin when I left for school.

☣ - phobias?

I... I never thought I had any, but I think I might have developed some form of necrophobia.
