it was unsettling, having her usual privacy perched on one of paragon’s highest rooftops invaded. and even more so, once she realized it was bruce’s child. adella’s twin. granted, she’d had much fewer opportunities to butt heads with him, since he wasn’t taking any of her classes.

     she pulls the steaming  mug  of  caffeine to her lips, green eyes not lifting      from her  quiet  scrutiny  of her nephew’s veneer as though if  she  stared      any longer with that usual dark intensity of hers, she’d break through.
