The city streets were eerily quiet that night, even more so than usual. The moon shone dim rays, casting a pale glow over the district's buildings. Lyanna took a moment to take in the atmosphere. The usually noisy area was almost completely empty, a stillness hung in the air, her footsteps against the stone pavement being the only sound to fill the silence of the night. It felt like she could be the only person still awake in the entire city. She walked a bit on instinct, not really knowing where she was going, although knowing that she should get home soon. There was something comforting about the late night; a feeling of ease and safety came with it when the sun had set and the world was hushed. For a moment she allowed her mind to let go of all the turbulences at work, the researches, the lab, the endless papers, the mountains of notes and volumes upon volumes- she just enjoyed the silence, the calm of it all.
