** Egmont, British Columbia ** This rocky road trip was our first ever Forest Service Road experience. For those unfamiliar with Canadian roads, major highways generally connect the cities and towns, and there aren't really that many (compared to European countries). There is also a huge network of Forest Service Roads, also known as 'Logging Roads' and they're branched out everywhere! They rarely show up on maps as they're not maintained and it is discouraged to attempt them without off-road tires. Of course, that's exactly what we did here and we were very lucky to have not burst a tire!
