8.5 / 10
I must admit, I’ve been wanting to taste these guy’s lineup for quite some time so finally I bit the bullet and took the hour drive out to visit them. First of all, this brewery is literally located on the corner of Forest and Main and it basically looks like it was someone’s house that they just decided to brew in which I actually loved. Not only was the bacon mac n’ cheese delicious, a few of their beers on their menu really stood out and hit the spot and this sucker was probably the most unique of the bunch. I really want to say that this is an IPA but honestly it kind of tastes like the bastard child of an India pale ale and a saison which kind of makes it that much better. Due to it’s interesting flavors I’m not even going to break this down by beginning, middle, and end but instead I’ll just tell you to expect some juicy fruit gum, floral hops, kiwi, melon, and barn-y goodness at some point in the taste. I feel like everyone will pick a different flavor out of this beer because every sip I take I feel like I’m discovering some new taste I didn’t notice before and the fact that I’m drinking it out of the proper glassware with tighty-whiteys all over it just makes the experience complete. If you are looking for a truly different approach to the style make sure you give these guys a visit because it’s definitely a solid drink regardless of your experience level. Prost!
