ive had a very strained relationship with this hooded merganser from the start. i almost finished it, decided i didn't like the colors i used, then decided to finish it anyway because i put so much time into it, and then ☝️ i spilled paint on it. so i painted a little background for him and turns out i like him now

this is all i can do until all my new thread colors get here but. green heron soon.

i made a tiny coelacanth keychain out of shrink paper on my lunch break. probably will do details in pencil instead of acrylic next time but it still turned out super cute
