Softness holds a unique power; hardy trees are the first to fall in a heavy storm, after all

Well, this might be really silly, but when I was younger, there was this girl in my elementary school, that was ”heavier”. A lot of people were making fun of her behind her back, then claiming to be her friends. I remember one of those girls sitting next to me, during recess, and bashing her. I could not hold it anymore and I went off. I stood up and pretty much told her off; to stop being such a vicious  person, making this poor girl’s life a living hell. I then went to tell this innocent, poor soul what transpired, and of course she started crying. I started crying as well, and went to my teacher, telling her about what was going on in the past months. It ended up being a huge class-drama, but I stood next to her, despite the hate I was getting from the ”pretty” girls. I don’t talk to the girl anymore, because I have since moved, but I hope she is doing ok. We don’t really keep in touch anymore, but yes. I thought that was a moment in my life that really made me realize, that bullying is something despicable, and whenever I hear/see someone being abusive to another, I can’t hold my temper. Sometimes I get really crazy… but it really hits me hard, because I’m not satisfied with my body as well, and to see someone who is struggling as is getting more shit, it’s just awful. That time in my life really made me strong about my opinions and view points on people. I have never insulted anyone because of the way they look, because that form of insult is absolutely ignorant and disgusting. Look in the mirror first, fix yourself before you can go on and try to fix others, or worse...thank you for asking me that <3
