#force babies

If Anakin Skywalker had not become Darth Vader and Padme had lived . . . it would have been hilarious to see what would have happened.  

Anakin being a dad and pretending he has no idea where the twins came from. 

Anakin would tell Obi-Wan they had no father; the Force did it.  

Padme has more babies.  

Anakin:  "The Force did it."  

Obi-Wan:  "These kids look like you and have your attitude."  

Anakin:  "See, the Force makes kids that look like me because I'm from the Force too.  We all look similar and have the same attitude.  They are all Chosen Ones."  

Obi-Wan:  *sighs*  "Padme, you may want to keep the Force out of your bed for awhile."

Ben: What is this? Why is she offering her hand? *Looks down*

She grabs him! He is checking if it was okay. . Need more context?

I’ve been working on developing Riku’s character in Mine To Hold, and since we’re about to see him for the first time since Rey’s capture, I wanted to do a little more research on Force-sensitive children before I dove in completely.

In doing so, I came across some crazy & enthralling Solo/Skywalker family lore. In the expanded universe, that I guess got entirely discarded before the prequel movies, Han Solo & Leia apparently had three children - twins that ended up on different sides of the Force, and another son who was inconveniently named Anakin.

Jaina Solo was eventually forced to kill her brother Jacen because he went a little too Vader and killed his former Jedi Master, who just so HAPPENED to be the mother of Luke’s son, Ben Skywalker. Ben falls in love with a Sith apprentice that he turns Light side somehow (Force penis??), and  Anakin Solo was tagged to be the next super-protagonist of the SW universe until the new movies were slated and they realized, oh, wait, we like the name Anakin so um, kill yourself plzkthxbye. The authors killed him off quietly yet heroically in the books I guess so they could stop feeding into the name conflict. I feel for all of those authors who developed awesome storylines and family trees only to be told, “Thanks, but we’re going to be moving in a different direction...” Brutal. XD

Also - what’s with all of these Jedi having children?? I mean, maybe they realized that being a monk for too long turned you into Vader, but then they seriously need to revise their Jedi Code. I just cannot imagine passionless Jedi sex. Maybe they Force levitate their, um, potential progeny into their partner and then meditate until conception? I am probably missing some well-documented exception that exists in the lore; “There is no passion, only peace. Unless you are horny, in which case, go to town on that wild Jedi va-jay-jay.”

Also, a reader suggested I check out the new Knights of the Eternal Throne trailer for some Force-baby inspiration. It’s so f-ing cool! I don’t think I’m going to have Riku surrounded by Dark side mages channeling evil into him from all sides, nor will I have him really going Dark side at all, but I do want to show he has a bit of his Daddy in him. ;)
