Scribbling incoherent words in your notes, you sighed and stretched your arms, packing and starting to walk home. A long day of classes and work has you feeling drained. Smiling at the thought of lounging around in your pyjamas cuddling your boyfriend, you didn’t notice arms encircling your waist, picking you up and spinning you around.
You yelled and laughed at the familiar scent, marshmallows and strawberry shortcake.
“Kei put me down.” Feeling slightly dizzy from the surprise excitement. Tsukishima spun you around and planted a kiss on your lips.
“Hi baby,” He smiled and you looked at him in awe. On a early Friday evening, the sunset casting a glow over your boyfriend’s frizzled soft curls and skin, making him look ethereal as a god. You also notice a slight red tinge on his cheeks, knowing him, that wasn’t a natural occurrence.
You placed your hand on his forehead, feeling no warmth and tilting your head. “You don’t have a fever. Did you drink? Tell me Tadashi and Yuji didn’t feed you those brownies.” You raised an eyebrow.
Tsukishima pouted. “What does brownies have to do with the fact that whenever I see you I get butterflies all over again like the first time I met you. So small and shy I swear you were worse than Yachi.”
You smacked him. “I was not! You had that resting bitch face on twenty-four hours. How was I supposed to know you tolerated me?!”
“Yeah yeah yeah. ANYWAYS then once we actually started talking I never wanted you to shut up, how your eyes lit up everytime you talked about your favorite show and your hobbies and goddamn I just wanted to protect you and make you smile like that always.” Tsukishima kept rambling on and on and you were speechless. Who knew the standoffish boy you knew in high school was just a softie with the right person.
Yet, you heard rustling by the bushes, small giggles and soft hushes. A light came on and you couldn’t hold back your smile.
“Tsukki-“ “And then when you made that cake I fell in love even more because how did you know-“ “Kei” “Like strawberry shortcake is my favorite but when tasting it from your lips-“ “Kei!” “Hush let me finish my story-“ “Love!!” You grabbed onto his shoulders and turned him towards the bushes.
“Tadashi! Yuji! You misfits get out of the bushes and tell me what you did with Kei!” Full blown laughing and they both emerged out, hands on their stomachs and tears falling out of their eyes. They high fived each other.
“Told you those brownies would work! Kei has a soft spot for any dessert!”
“Oh but strawberry shortcake is his favorite, especially when he tastes it from y/n’s lips-“
Kei looked at Yuji and Tadashi. “What’s so funny?”
You blushed and touched your lips, is that why he always kisses you after you put on strawberry chapstick?
“Nothing lover boy, just wait and see.” Yuji stuck out his tongue and wrapped his arm around Tadashi, leaving you both tilting your heads.
The video was soon sent to your respective friend groups, who could all agree that Kei was indefinitely whipped for you.
The brownies were a little touch purely for entertainment, much to Kei’s dismay when he realized what had happened.

A/N: WHEW haven't written in a hot minute. No idea if I like this or not HAHAH I'm gonna keep it up for now as a filler because University has started for me and I'm already tired of it like please I want it to end but also not.
I literally made Tsukishima the complete opposite and idk I was imagining him somewhat like Hinata or Atsumu whenever they see their s/o after a long time. The brownies (or hashbrowns) were an added touch so I apologize for the lack of clarity of the effects because I have no idea how they make a person act.
