She’s supposed to be writing some meaningless fluff piece about this carnival. Because, according to her boss, ‘she has experience with stuff like that.’ Like organizing one  ( two. maybe three )  carnivals when she was eighteen makes her an expert. But she doesn’t argue. If she’s being honest, she could use the excuse. Dragging him out with her. Where their lives don’t revolve around whatever job he’s taking. Where she doesn’t have to sit and worry over whether or not he’ll come home, or where the newest bruises are from, or whether or not the people he’s even working for can be trusted. The bright lights, screaming kids, cotton candy, and general atmosphere of the place isn’t really his thing. But with her hand holding his, anchoring his arm over her shoulders while her other winds around his waist, it’s not really like he has a choice in the matter. But he’s not complaining. At least not yet. Her neck twists as she looks up at him, lips slowly stretching into a grin before she speaks.  ❝ I can win you a stuffed animal if you want. One of those shitty teddy bears that’ll rip in two days and is probably infested with lice? ❞

"gotta' talk about your kid, man." shaking his head as he came over with a serious expression at first which soon relaxed to show he was teasing. "how'd you say no? she got me doin' all sorts. here. it's s'ppsed to be you." placing the pumpkin down on the table in front of rick as he gave it a pat. he'd painted a face on it that didn't look like much of anything. “don’t say i never gave you nothin’.” resting his hands either side of the pumpkin as he found a smirk falling on his lips. "what'd she mean grumpy face? gotta' smile more." another smirk to show he was just teasing, hell rich coming from him anyways.
