Aonung, Neteyam, Lo'ak, with a male Metkayina reader that sings like Ariel.
Note!: I’m back to writing yasss in my ATWOW era again😋
⸻ male reader, slight teasing, jealously, admiring, lots of love.
• At first, Ao’nung would tease you relentlessly about your singing, joking that you sound like an Ilu calling for a mate in which you completely ignored him for. But deep down, he’s absolutely mesmerized by your voice likes to stare at you alot.
• If he catches others listening to you sing, he’ll get grumpy and claim it’s because “you’re distracting the hunters,” but really, he just hates how others get to hear something so special he just wants you to sing for him and just for him.
• Sometimes, he’ll sneak away with you on a quiet beach, pretending it’s just for training, but then he’ll ask, “Sing for me,” in the softest voice you’ve ever heard while laying on the sand while you trailed his face softly as you sang to him.
• If you ever hum while tending to his wounds after a sparring session, he’ll just stare at you, completely lovestruck, eyes blown wide before snapping out of it and saying, “You’re so annoying…” (but his tail swaying back and fourth). Which you find it funny and cute at the same time.
Rotxo is the type to quietly stick by your side without making a big deal out of it. He’s relaxed, easygoing, and honestly prefers calm moments with you over loud group activities.
• He loves hearing you sing while doing normal things around the metkayina village cleaning shells, weaving, swimming beside the reefs, or resting on the docks after a long day. Your voice just naturally calms him down.
• Rotxo isn’t overly smooth or flirty. Most of his affection comes through actions instead. Carrying things for you, fixing broken jewelry clasps, bringing you food before you ask, or making room for you beside him automatically while pulling you down by your arm.
• He definitely likes swimming with you late in the evening when the water is quieter. Sometimes you’ll sing underwater softly and he’ll just float there listening because he genuinely thinks it’s beautiful.
• Rotxo thinks your voice matches the ocean perfectly. Even if you’re just humming, he’ll pause whatever he’s doing to listen for a second.
•. He’s patient with you and not the jealous type. Your relationship feels easy and comfortable instead of intense or dramatic he trust you and you trust him.
•. The two of you probably spend a lot of time exploring reefs together. Rotxo likes showing you hidden spots filled with glowing fish or pretty coral because he enjoys seeing your reaction every time.
• If you get embarrassed singing in front of people, Rotxo quietly encourages you anyway. He’s the kind of boyfriend that says simple things like:
“I like hearing you sing.”
and somehow that’s enough to make you feel less nervous.
•. He also loves when you sing while riding your ilu together across the water. Sometimes he’ll purposely slow down just to hear you longer.
•. Around the clan, Rotxo naturally stays close to you without thinking about it. Sitting beside you during meals, walking with you after gathering, or waiting for you before leaving somewhere. Everybody already knows you two come together as a pair.
•. Overall, being with Rotxo feels soft, peaceful, and comforting.
• Neteyam is captivated by your voice from the first moment he hears it. He thinks it’s the most beautiful sound in Pandora, second only to the ocean itself.
• Unlike Ao’nung, he never teases you about it. Instead, he’ll always encourage you to sing more, often asking you to sing to Tuk when she has trouble sleeping.
• If he’s ever stressed from responsibilities, you’ll find him sitting near you, listening as you hum softly while weaving or swimming. It calms him down instantly.
• Whenever you sing, he watches you with so much admiration it’s almost embarrassing. If you catch him, he’ll quickly look away, pretending he wasn’t staring but you saw the way his ears flick if you hum again.
• Lo’ak would be the type to openly gush about your singing, not even trying to hide how much he loves it. “Bro, do you even realize how cool you sound?”
• He’ll jokingly ask you to use your voice to lure him into the ocean like a siren, pretending to be enchanted as he dramatically falls into the water.
• He’s not the best singer himself, but he’ll still hum along just to be closer to you. If you ever harmonize with him, he’ll get so flustered and start laughing.
• On nights when he can’t sleep, he’ll nudge you and whisper, “Sing something for me?” His tail flicks happily when you do.
