Bones of the foot provide the mechanical support of the body; holding its weight while supporting posture and motion.     Also you will find it divided into 3 regions: Hindfoot (talus & calcaneus), Midfoot (navicular, cuboid, & cuneiforms), Forefoot (metatarsals & phalanges) @rev.med    ✅ Tarsals  ⁣⁣⁣  7 irregularly shaped bones that are situated proximally in the foot near the ankle area.     We have the:     Talus (ankle bone) connects with the tibia and fibula bones of the leg.     Calcaneus (heel bone) is the largest tarsal bone and it sits below the talus and plays a role in supporting our body weight. @rev.med     Tarsals (5 in total) form the arch of the midfoot.
