it’s here! i am extremely stoked! i am normally not able to get my hands on rsd vinyls, but this one was pretty inexpensive and i hadn’t been slammed with a bunch of bills yet.
new vinyl! this time it’s a gift from a friend whose parents decided to go digital (lame, but good for me). i haven’t given any of them a listen - i have to wait until the cheap ikea shelf gets here - but i’m definitely excited to. :)
so i’ve managed to get my hands on a few new records this month. i got the email about no code and jumped on it quick. it sold out almost immediately after i purchased it. their site also crashed as i was checking out, so i’m surprised it went thru.
i also got backspacer, and solely because the seller gave me a deal AND because the state i live in sent me a check (with zero explanation for why i received it), so i was able to splurge a bit. i’ve been calling myself a dumbass all day - i don’t like spending money but i also very much enjoy having records.
then a friend traded me two soundgarden albums for a couple of 13” x 19” art prints (i only do this with friends lol). i’m really stoked on these because the vinyls are colored and i very rarely am able to get my hands on special stuff like that.
all i need is four more pearl jam records and four more soundgarden records before i’ve collected all their studio albums. i also have a bunch of live performances - which i think are my favorites.
idk why i’m sharing this. i’m just really excited. i’m usually only able to buy things i need, if that, so yeah. i’m doing the “self care” thing (i’m also treating my body better, following through with physical therapy, doing my best to finish my medical transition and trying to push back against negative self talk, i’m not just buying a whole bunch of vinyls lol).
anyway. i hope you’re all doing well out there. i heard it might reach 100°F in seattle and that scares the living hell out of me, because i believe i read that that hasn’t happened in 100 years or something. this summer is going to be brutal and i’m particularly worried about the fires that happen each year.
