Krakow - Breakfast At Awiw

Dearest sweethearts, Did you know that every name and every word in hebrew language has a hidden meaning in itself? When I was young and I started reading the Bible I thought that the best way to do it, the right way to go about it, was to start at the very beginning (a very good place to start, according to Maria from The Sound of Music). So I started with the Old Testament ... but as many before me, I got stuck at the Book of Numbers! When you read it as it is translated it is row after row after row of names (that tell you nothing and make you wonder why you read this...) you might fall asleep...  but Jewish people never get bored as they know it's secrets: every name translates into something else!

Krakow - Goscinna Chata - Regional Polish Dishes

Dearest sweethearts,

Today I wish to present you #37 of 1,301 Places to Eat in Krakow as per TripAdvisor: Goscinna Chata, regional Polish restaurant, located on ul. Slawkowska 10. Goscinna Chata received from TripAdvisor the Certificate of Excellence for 2016 ;) so I figured out it was about time I would present this place on the blog. We have been there a couple of times, alone or with friends/family and we loved the food everytime. It's true it's a bit more expensive than the other restaurants I usually introduce you to, but it's worth your time and money as it has some regional specialties that you can't try anywhere else (I have a list of prices and items lower, in the "The Prices" section).  

Krakow - Gossip Cafe

Dearest sweethearts,

I hope you are having a fine weekend - relaxed and full of fine quality time. We have finished yesterday our school for future parents and we are crossing one more week off the list... just a bit more to go before the small LadyBug Baby will join us, in our arms :) We had a very nice school to prepare us, in English language, held by the Koala Birth School (close to the Kraków Filharmonia). The thing is the school lessons are always at the same hour, early in the morning, starting 9 am sharp! We always prefer to sleep longer in the weekend, in the mornings, so we never have breakfast at home. But we do have a long break around 11 am and... that's how we discovered yet another great breakfast place: Gossip Cafe.

Krakow - Roast & Toast Dearest friends,

Today I will tell you about a newly opened place in Kraków,  dead center in Stare Miasto (Old Town) district. Close to the Teatr Bagatela station, a month or so back, "Roast & Toast" opened its doors. I passed it a couple of times before going in and having a look about the place and checking it's goods. One evening though,  I ventured in and scrutinised their menu. The place seems simple and it's concept quite straightforward: fast healthy snacks for hungry people passing by (be it locals or foreigners). I went for the "Klubowy" toast and some orange juice from Cappy. I must admit that the place looks lovely and well organized and clean, yet after the experience I had I am not sure I would like to go again and try something more... the lady who was serving was a total turn - off :/
